Bego Begović

Bego Begović was born in Sisak, Croatia.
Before he was one year old, his parents emigrated with him to Germany.

He started making music at the age of 15 and played in bands from the beginning,
mainly organ at that time, later synthesizers and keyboards were added.

Bego never had music lessons and was self-taught and autonomous from the beginning and saw his life as an art from a young age.
He had a preference for live performances, which he did from 1972.

After several German bands, he found a Dutch band in 1981, with whom he performed many times internationally.
In 1985, he gave up his technical job and his studies for the sake of his band and moved to the Netherlands.

This decisive step would drastically change his future life.
He became self-employed, founded a studio and played with many Dutch bands.
There were many hundreds of live concerts in the Netherlands and abroad.

With his own studio, he found his way as a professional musician, mixer and producer.
He produced more than 50 CDs and several video clips.

In addition to music, photography and filming are other great passions.
From 2009 he worked as a cameraman and editor in the make-over show “Fashiontrix”,
which ran for eight seasons from 2009 to 2013 on MTV/Viva and SIXX on German television.

From 2013 to 2017 he worked primarily as a photographer and photo artist and produced several video clips.

After several self-productions with meditative music, he founded the duo “The Sound Healing Travelers” with John Kremer in 2014.
This line-up also gave several hundred concerts.

There he played intuitive meditation music exclusively on acoustic world instruments such as
dilruba, duduk, singing bowls, didgeridoo, fujara, Jew’s harp, percussion and other instruments.
He continued this style of music on his own from 2019 onwards and these sound-healings still take place in Central Europe at regular intervals.

Musically, Bego has devoted himself exclusively to his own music since 2007.
There have been many projects in which other musicians have also been involved.

Until 2023 he will be working with singer/guitarist Freek Bos on his own LP/CD
“Final Project – Beautiful World & What Mankind Makes Of It”,
in which several very well-known musicians from Limburg also took part.

From 2022 onwards Bego embarked on new musical paths.
With his new band “Bego & The Shamans” he acts as a singer for the first time…
